Post-Conviction Investigator

The Office of Capital and Forensic Writs (OCFW) is hiring an investigator to factually develop claims on behalf of our death-sentenced clients. The investigator will work as part of a team with attorneys representing clients sentenced to death in state habeas corpus and related proceedings. The ideal applicant will have investigation experience, familiarity with mental health and trauma-related issues, and / or experience working directly with indigent populations. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Mitigation Specialist

The Office of Capital and Forensic Writs (OCFW) is hiring a mitigation specialist to factually develop claims on behalf of our death-sentenced clients. The mitigation specialist will work as part of a team with attorneys representing clients sentenced to death in state habeas corpus and related proceedings. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a mitigation specialist, equivalent experience working with indigent populations, or post-graduate study in a relevant field. In addition, he or she would have familiary or experience with mental health, trauma, intellectual disabilities, and race, ethnicity and poverty within the criminal justice system or elsewhere. Salary will be commensurate with experience. OCFW seeks applicants who take initiative, respond to rapidly changing demands with flexibility, and have a demonstrated track record of working well under pressure and as part of a team.
